Logitech has just added a new G-Series peripheral for gamers, the Gaming Mouse G300. It sports nine programmable controls that can issue commands usually performed by the keyboard. A three-game memory lets players save profiles, so no software needs to be uploaded for a favorite title when switching to another computer.
Users also get the choice of seven colors for each profile for easy identification. The mouse sports an ambidextrous design for use by either hand. A 2,500DPI optical sensor provides the tracking while keeping costs down, and macros can be shared between other G-series keyboards and headsets.
The G300 ships in the US and Europe in September for $40.
