Logitech has rolled out its latest set of Bluetooth stereo speakers, the Z600. The speakers have been targeted at MacBook Air and Ultrabook users, although they will work with any Bluetooth A2DP-enabled device including smartphones and tablets.
The new speakers utilize Logitech’s easy-switching technology, allowing users to pair up to three devices at the same time – users just need to press pause on the device streaming music, and play on one of the other paired devices.
The Z600 speakers are covered in a fabric finish and incorporate touch sensitive volume functionality controlled by gliding a finger around the edge of the top panel of the speaker to either dial up the volume or dial it down. The speakers are claimed to produce ‘room-filling’ sound and incorporate three drivers in each small tower. A small USB dongle is also provided for streaming audio from notebooks or computers that may not be Bluetooth-equipped.
Pricing and Availability
The Logitech Bluetooth Speakers Z600 are up for pre-order now and are expected to be available in the U.S. and Europe in August 2013, for a suggested retail price of $149.99.
