Logitech has announced the Mobile Speakerphone P710e, a peripheral for phones, tablets, and computers. The unit connects via USB or Bluetooth, and props phones and tablets up for easier viewing. It can pair with up to eight Bluetooth devices, two of them simultaneously; in the case of NFC-equipped devices, Bluetooth pairing can be done simply by tapping against the speakerphone.
Calls can be answered and ended using either on-screen controls or dedicated touch-sensitive buttons. To improve quality the P710e incorporates echo and noise cancellation, as well as a dynamic equalizer that alternates automatically between voice and music modes. A headphone jack can be used to make listening private.
The speaker charges via AC or USB, and can run on its own internal battery for up to 15 hours. The P710e should ship in November at a cost of $170.
