Logitech this week has launched MK850 Performance Wireless Keyboard and Mouse Combo which is also ergonomic. The set supports Windows, Mac, Android, Chrome OS and iOS*. It should work with desktop Linux distributions too, such as Ubuntu and Fedora. With the click of a button, both the keyboard and mouse can switch between up to three computers or operating systems. This is great for those of use that have multiple systems and/or use multiple OSes. (* Please note the mouse will not work with iOS)
Now keyboard doesn’t just merely work different operating systems, but it can intelligently detect the OS to provide a better experience. In other words, the keys have labels for both Mac and Windows, so depending on which you are using, the associated keys will work as they should.
The keyboard has a number pad, cushioned palm rest and the mouse includes a hyper-fast scroll wheel for quick web page navigation.
Logitech DuoLink, available for free through Logitech Options software, links the keyboard and mouse together. . DuoLink enables the mouse buttons to have a different set of actions and gestures when you hold the Fn key down on the keyboard. So you can enable customized functions and navigation, such as swiping between desktops or controlling the volume of your music.
Both the keyboard and mouse are Bluetooth-capable, you can also leverage a USB unifying dongle too. This is useful for machines without Bluetooth, plus can also be beneficial for accessing the BIOS/UEFI on a machine when USB input is required.
