Want to take a ride in the Ecto-1? If you live in New York City, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Boston or Washington DC, you may be in luck! A Ghostbusters Lyft promotion is set to launch this weekend in celebration of Paul Feig‘s new Ghostbusters movie. A partnership between Lyft and Sony Pictures will bring “Ghost Mode” to riders July 1 and 2.
Between 10:00am and 8:00pm on Friday and Saturday, riders can toggle into Ghost Mode and request a free ride in an Ecto-1 car. Ghost Mode will feature both original Ecto-1’s from the new film as well as replicas.
Lyft passengers who catch a ride in Ghost Mode will also have the chance to take home in-car swag and giveaways, such as Hi-C Ecto Coolers and Ghostbusters-themed Twinkies by Hostess. Two lucky winners will take home the grand prize of two tickets each to the Ghostbusters World Premiere in Los Angeles on July 9th.
