Magellan will be showcasing its Off-Road Vehicle and SmartGPS Eco connected car navigation solutions at the upcoming Connected Car Expo at the Los Angeles Auto Show from Nov. 16-17. Designed from the ground up with the connected car in mind, these in-dash connected products will be demonstrated during the event.

Designed specifically for the off-roading enthusiast, Magellan’s Off-Road Vehicle navigation solutions deliver detailed 3D maps, over 44,000 vehicle trails and community generated trails, improved driver safety and a superior user experience, all at an exceptional value.
The OHV navigation solutions allow users to plan, track and save trail rides. Magellan’s OHV web portal lets users add pictures and comments to their trail rides, and share them with friends, family, or the larger off-road and outdoor communities. Members of Magellan’s dedicated off-road vehicle online community earn achievement badges for posting and sharing “dirt miles” traveled and total number of trails posted. And with integration to social media sites such as Twitter, Facebook and Instagram, users are able to post their greatest trail adventures.
The Magellan off-road vehicle platform’s trail maps are cloud based, dynamic, and will continue to grow and be improved by both Magellan and through crowd-sourced additions from the Magellan OHV user community. The detailed off-road maps feature: high-resolution 3D and 2D terrain and contour elevation lines; National and State Parks and Recreational Vehicle Areas; National and State service roads and trails; food, gas, lodging, and general service POIs; and more.

The SmartGPS Eco is one of the latest advancements from Magellan featuring the company’s cloud platform bringing together automotive quality navigation and routing, content services, iOS and Android smartphone apps, and connected car platforms. The SmartGPS Eco is built on a robust cloud architecture supporting flexible content aggregation, personalization, and localized delivery, and is specifically designed to integrate with connected car solutions.
