Marvel Comics revealed today via press release that Uncanny X-Men #600 will come out on November 4, 2015. Despite massive delays to the book, which takes place before the Secret Wars super-mega-crossover event that precedes the line-wide reboot that will already be well in place by the time Uncanny X-Men #600 hits stands, Marvel remained optimistic that the book would actually finally come out on the planned date.
“We’re confident this is the final release date,” proclaimed an outwardly super-excited but internally concerned Marvel Editor in Chief Axel Alonso. “We swear.”
Alonso snuck a worried look back at the book’s writer, “The Great One” Brian Bendis, who returned a grin and a thumbs up. Alonso wiped sweat off his brow and continued. “On the bright side, since Secret Wars is so delayed, we’re getting this out before that book ends. We always look on the bright side of life.”
As a result of the delays, the launch of new X-Men comics Extraordinary X-Men and All-New X-Men have been pushed back as well. “But think of how much extra time we’ve had to create variant covers,” Alonso suggested. “And our Inhumans books are on time!”
