MetroPCS has added to its roster of 4G LTE devices with a new smartphone from Huawei, following on from the $150 Activa 4G launched by the carrier last year. The Premia 4G has a 4-inch touchscreen display than its predecessor, with an 800×480-pixel resolution and Gorilla Glass protection, and is powered by a dual-core 1.5GHz processor with 1GB of RAM.
Running on Android 4.0, the Premia 4G has a rear-mounted 5-megapixel camera with autofocus and a rear-facing LED flash, a 1.3-megapixel front camera, 720p video recording capability, and 2GB of internal storage expandable to 32GB by microSD. Its 1650mAh battery has a claimed 4-hour talk-time, with up to 160 hours in standby, while it also has Wi-Fi, DLNA, and Bluetooth connectivity, GPS, and can access Rhapsody Music Unlimited at $5 per month extra.
The Premia 4G is on sale now, at a cost of $150.
