A big screen adaptation of the popular children’s book series Where’s Waldo has been in development for years. Most recently, Chris Meledandri at Universal Pictures was said to be behind the project, but now Deadline reports MGM has picked up the feature film rights for what will be a live-action family adventure.
The previous version of the story followed Waldo, a thirty-something who accidentally activates a malfunctioning time machine, sending him to various locations around the world and in different time periods. But the looks to be trashed now for new plot ideas.
