Microsoft may make the next version of Windows easier to update, starting with the preview version. A report claims current internal builds of the operating system, also known as Windows Threshold, can be upgraded to a newer build with a single click, which could mean that those using the public preview may be able to use a newer build without uninstalling and reinstalling the software.
Though meant for internal use and could potentially get removed before the public preview, Neowin writes that the feature has been “fully built out,” namely being a native part of Windows itself, and in theory will remain in place. Whether it survives beyond the preview and into the full commercial release is unknown, but likely to be dictated by what happens in the preview.
