Microsoft today launched OneDrive, a renamed and improved version of its SkyDrive cloud storage service.

OneDrive is available to most devices, including Windows Phone handsets, Windows machines, and Android and iOS phones and tablets.

OneDrive offers 7GB of storage for free, and allows users to score more storage by recommending friends to the service. Microsoft is releasing new versions of the OneDrive app today, and the Android variant gains automatic photo backups. Microsoft said people who use the automatic camera backup feature will earn an additional 3GB of storage. Microsoft also offers higher storage increments to those who need more than 7GB for small monthly payments.

OneDrive is free to download from the Windows Phone Store, Google Play Store, and iTunes App Store.
