The Playstation Vita can now add everyone’s favorite blood-soaked brawler to the mix of title planned for it, as Mortal Kombat is slated to be released for the handheld..
Mortal Kombat for the PS Vita has been specifically designed for “on-the-go gaming” and boasts “brand new gameplay features and content developed exclusively for the Vita.” What sort of tweaks need to be made to make MK more on-the-go friendly aren’t being said, although there shouldn’t need to be too many made given the Vita’s virtually complete gamepad controls sans two shoulder buttons.
It appears from the game’s cover art—appearing in a cropped version above—that all 4 of the original title’s DLC characters will be available from the get-go, in addition to the Sony-exclusive Kratos from God of War.
Mortal Kombat for the Playstation Vita has a tentative release window of Spring 2012.
