Motorola announced at MWC 2011 that it will bring the Droid Pro to Europe. The Pro uses a CDMA/GSM chip, which allows it to be deployed in more than 220 countries. Motorola unveiled the Pro at the CTIA show in October 2010.
The Droid Pro runs Android 2.2 and offers the same 1GHz processor as the original Droid X. It also has 2GB of internal memory, expandable to 32GB, and a five-megapixel camera. The handset can also act as a 3G Wi-Fi hotspot for up to five other devices.
The portrait arrangement of its dedicated QWERTY keyboard below a 3.1-inch touchscreen and support for corporate email users have earned the handset an early reputation as a Blackberry killer.
Motorola did not disclose pricing or availability for the Droid Pro in European markets.
