Bryan Fuller’s “Mockingbird Lane,” the reboot of “The Munsters” for NBC has found its Herman Munster!
THR reports Jerry O’Connell (Scream 2, Piranha 3D, Sliders) will be casted into Herman’s boots, formerly played by late Fred Gwynne.
O’Connell will star opposite Eddie Izzard, as Grandpa Munster; and Mason Cook, as Eddie.
Bryan Singer is directing the pilot episode. “Mockingbird Lane” will adopt a slightly more serious, darker take on the Munster family.
