Deadline reports that three more have joined the cast of NBC’s “Constantine” pilot including Lucy Griffiths (“True Blood“), Harold Perrineau (“LOST“) and Charles Halford (“True Detective“).
Griffiths will play the role of Liv, the daughter of a former friend of Constantine’s who is targeted by demons. Her character is described as “an offbeat young woman tired of her ordinary life who comes to discover that she has the ability of seeing the supernatural world among us, which makes her a key player in the battle between good and evil.”
Perrineau will play the role of Manny, Constantine’s literal guardian angel with the ability to step into other people’s bodies, a similar ability to that of DC’s Deadman, while Halford will take on the role of Chas, who is described as Constantine’s “oldest friend and staunch companion.”
Set to star Matt Ryan as the titular character, “Constantine” is written by David S. Goyer (Batman Begins, Man of Steel) and Daniel Cerone (“The Mentalist“). NBC has officially ordered a pilot for “Constantine,” which will be helmed by The Descent‘s Neil Marshall, and is expected to begin production in Atlanta, GA soon.
