Gearbox has released a new patch for Borderlands: The Handsome Collection on the PlayStation 4 so the game now supports the DualShock 4’s light bar and touch pad features.
The controller’s light bar now changes color based on the equipped weapon’s elemental effect, and you can now use the touch pad to navigate the map screen.
In addition, the patch contains various bugs fixes and performance improvements for both the Xbox One and PS4 versions of the game. Gearbox also released a patch for the Xbox 360, PS3, and PC versions of Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel that introduces similar improvements.
Yesterday, 2K Games parent publisher Take-Two Interactive announced the Borderlands franchise has now shipped nearly 25 million units. In February, Gearbox announced that is ready to start working on and is already recruiting a team for the next Borderlands game, which is being made specifically for the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 (and PC, presumably).
