The CW has just released 20 stills from October 24th’s all-new episode of Supergirl. Titled “Welcome to Earth,” episode 2×03 features guest star Lynda Carter. Carter, as DC Comics fans are well aware, is a true DC Legend herself. She starred as Wonder Woman on the 1970s television series. In “Welcome to Earth,” we meet Carter in a suitably-prestigious role: She’s playing the President of the United States.
Welcome to Earth” is described as follows:
“An attack is made on the President (guest star Lynda Carter) as hot-button, alien vs. human rights issues heat up in National City. Supergirl and the DEO are assigned to protect the President and bring in the responsible party. Alex teams up with Detective Maggie Sawyer (Floriana Lima) to investigate the case while Kara searches for a recently escaped Mon-El (Chris Wood), who she fears may be the alien behind the assault.”
Meanwhile, EW has a few details about the hugely-anticipated DC event that, in November, will crossover Supergirl, The Flash, Arrow and DC’s Legends of Tomorrow.
“Some people, like Barry [Grant Gustin], already know her, so Barry’s completely cool with her,” executive producer Andrew Kreisberg told the outlet of how some of the DC regulars will respond to Melissa Benoist’s Kara Zor-El. “Some people are instantly charmed by her; I think Sara’s [Caity Lotz] got a little crush on her… [Oliver is] keeping his distance, which is a very Oliver thing to do. Even Kara comments, ‘Does he not like me?’ Barry’s like, ‘No, that’s kind of how he treats everybody.’”
