Nintendo has revealed a brand new addition to the New Nintendo 2DS XL line up. Featuring a purple and silver design, this system will be released in North America next month (no news for European players just yet).
Yes, on 28th September, this shiny new 2DS model will become available with the mighty evergreen seller Mario Kart 7 pre-installed. It will be available at a suggested retail price of $149.99, and both of the already available New Nintendo 2DS XL colour schemes (black/turquoise and white/orange) will also be changed to feature Mario’s racing endeavours as an included title.

The new system comes as part of an early holiday push for Nintendo, with a super-snazzy Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Pro Controller that has already been announced, a Smash limited edition bundle, and new starter packs for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Splatoon 2 and Super Mario Odyssey all being made available over the coming months.
Nintendo of America President and COO Reggie Fils-Aime has said the following:
“We want to give people a variety of options and price points when shopping for themselves or the Nintendo fans in their lives. Whether looking for a portable system for a first-time gamer or a cool controller to play Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Nintendo has great gifts for all ages this holiday season.”
