Sony is given us a sneak peek on two titles they are working on for the PlayStation Vita – Killzone: Mercenary and Tearaway.
Killzone: Mercenary is being developed by Guerrilla Games and could be the first FPS on the Vita worth its salt. General opinion on Resistance: Burning Skies and Call of Duty: Black Ops II: Declassified seems to be that neither was up to snuff. The game will sport both a single player mode with nine missions, each taking about an hour to complete, and a multiplayer component featuring eight maps and three game modes. It is scheduled to launch September 17, 2013.

As for Tearaway, this project has the Media Molecule (LittleBigPlanet) stamp written all over it. The game is an adventure/puzzle title where you’ll be using the Vita’s various features – touch screen, rear-touch pad, microphone, etc. – to help your little adventurer traverse the hazardous papercraft environment. Killzone: Mercenary looks great, but Tearaway seems like an app that will really show the potential of the Vita.
