Nickelodeon is accepting the ultimate dare, bringing one of its most beloved game shows back to celebrate its dirty 30.
A live edition of Double Dare — whose host, Marc Summers, will also return for the festivities — will be held on Friday, July 22 at 9:30 pm PT, as part of San Diego Comic-Con. Several of the Nickelodeon series’ classic challenges, including the iconic Dare Nose, will be incorporated into the competition, which fans can watch live on The Splat’s Facebook page.
In addition to the live event at Comic-Con, TeenNick is also airing episodes ofDouble Dare, Family Double Dare and Double Dare 2000 for one week, beginning Monday, July 25 at 10 pm. The programming block, appropriately titled “Double Dare Week,” will also be hosted by Summers.
Nickelodeon’s longest-running game show franchise of all time, Double Dare (in all of its many forms) aired from 1986 to 1993 before being briefly revived in 2000.
