In the US the spin-off will be called Spirit Camera: The Cursed Memoir. the game is an augmented reality horror game that uses the console’s cameras to show ghosts and ghouls in the player’s environment.
It also comes with a ’16-page AR Book’ which, when looked at through the 3DS, will appear to spew ghosts into the real world that will attack you from all directions, or suck the player into a virtual world within the game.
According to the story: “Players must help Maya break free from a terrifying curse by aiding her escape from the clutches of a malevolent woman in black.”
Below are two Japanese trailers for it. One of which appears to be a 12-minute live-action mini movie released as part of the Japanese marketing effort.
The game will hit the US on Friday April 13 – good marketing there! UK release are unknown at this time
