Hoping to attend BlizzCon….You’ll have to wait until 2013.
The company confirmed it will not hold a BlizzCon event in 2012 because of a “jam-packed schedule” that includes launching action role-playing game Diablo III and two expansions.
Blizzard also announced it’s hosting the Battle.net World Championship, an eSports event featuring pro gamers in StarCraft II and World of Warcraft. The tournament will take place in Asia near the end of 2012.
It appears to be a busy year for Blizzard, as they push to ship the highly anticipated Diablo III this year, as well as the WoW expansion Mists of Pandaria and StarCraft II: Heart of the Swarm.
The public event has not only served as a hub for celebrating all things Blizzard, but the studio has used BlizzCon as a platform for key announcements, such as the unveiling of expansions for WoW.
In a statement, Blizzard says they will offer more details on BlizzCon 2013 and the Battle.net World Championship in the coming months.
