Nokia on Wednesday began a switchover to Yahoo to power its Ovi Mail e-mail service. Nokia promises users will have access to new features, including in-browser chat. Users will also now be able to log into other Yahoo services like News of Finance with their Mail or Chat Yahoo accounts.
Nokia cautioned users that they might not see all of their e-mails, account settings or contacts right away, but assured them their data was safe and being transferred over. The process will take between several days and a couple of weeks, Nokia said. The company will send out an e-mail when the process is done.
Users need to accept the new terms and conditions within 90 days or otherwise lose their existing data. A support site is available for those with more questions or concerns
