Nvidia’s has a new partner to bring AI-powered self-driving tech with Bosch. For those of you who don’t follow the auto-manufacturing chain, Bosch is a leading tier one auto industry supplier. Bosch will build an AI supercomputer designed for use in vehicles using Nvidia tech. This is major win for Nvidia in the races to power self-driving cars and other auto tech.
Bosch, based in Germany, product portfolio ranges from home appliances, to infotainment solutions, to virtually everything in between. They even have tech in many cell phones.
The deal lets Nvidia focus on developing the AI supercomputing tech, while Bosch can provide relationships and sales operations.
Bosch’s super computer will use Nvidia’s Drive PX line with Xavier architecture, which is the world’s first single-chip processor that can manage Level 4 autonomous driving capabilities.
