Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare trailer has been unveiled, revealing an invasion of earth on an epic scale.
With a release date set for November 4, 2016, Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare will be released on PS4, Xbox One and PC and will include several different versions – the Legacy Edition will offer fans the chance to play a remastered Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare.
Activision say the new Call of Duty will include a lot of boots on the ground action, fewer load times, as well as space fighter combat.
The official Activision description explains: “Immersing players in a war story that, for the first time in franchise history, extends beyond the reaches of Earth into the vast expanse of our solar system.
“Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare will also be available as the Infinite Warfare Legacy Edition, which includes the return of the full campaign and 10 multiplayer maps from the famed Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, released in high-definition brilliance as Call of Duty®: Modern Warfare Remastered.”
“In a desperate time of overwhelming adversity, the player, as Captain of their own warship, must take command against a relentless enemy. Experienced soldiers are thrust into extraordinary circumstances that will test their training and reveal their true character as they learn to lead and to make the hard decisions necessary to achieve victory.
“The game also introduces stunning, never before seen environments, new weaponry and inventive player abilities to Call of Duty.
“The entire campaign – from boots-on-ground combat to piloting high speed space-fighters – occurs as a near seamless experience with few visible loading times, and delivers the hallmark, blockbuster franchise moments that fans love.”
he Call of Duty 2016 trailers show two warring sides looking to be in the middle of what appears to be a rather one-sided struggle.
The first trailer released by Activision focuses on the Settlement Defense Front as they lay down their message of destruction and threat of ripping those who oppose them “from the history books”.
The second trailer looks at the Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare resistance movement, Lt. Reyes, Naval Special Operations can be seen sending out a hacked message, telling those to click the link and jump onto Facebook.
When accessed, some more of the story element becomes apparent by chatting with the new Call of Duty CODmessenger Facebook acount.
Here’s the Facebook dialogue: “This is Lt. Reyes, Naval Special Operations under Adm. Raines. I’ve got Settlement Defense Front forces closing in on my position.
“I’m going to need your help to get through this. Can I count on you?
“We recovered the first part, a– “G”, but I need you to find the next 11.”
After cracking the code, Reyes replies: “Looking five by five on that code, soldier! We just might make it out of this one alive. The defense grid is lighting up!
It’s been an honor serving with you, Well done. All right, I’ve got to get back into this fight. You get yourself some rack time.
“The music should start up around 1600 GMT. Return here for transmission. You’re going to want to see this. Until then, Reyes out.”
It sets up an apparent new teaser on Monday – it is unclear if this will be an officialtrailer or more Facebook instructions.
The first trailer was released via the Nuk3town playlist currently running on Call of Duty: Black Ops 3, it appears an official reveal will likely occur later this week.
The new game is also likely to launch with a Call of Duty 4: modern Warfare remaster, with several other Xbox 360 COD titles also spotted on retail websites.
