A new trailer for the upcoming Amazon Studios series I Love Dick has been revealed online. The show stars Kathryn Hahn, Griffin Dunne and Kevin Bacon and is adapted from Chris Kraus’ 1997 cult classic, combining feminist art criticism, memoir, and epistolary novel. The show comes to us from Transparent creator Jill Soloway and is the story of a married couple (Hahn and Dunne) who encounter renowned scholar Dick (Bacon), changing their lives. I Love Dick is set to air on the streaming service on May 12, 2017.

“From Jill Soloway, the two-time Emmy winning director and creator of Transparent, comes I Love Dick, which tells the story of a struggling married couple (played by Kathryn Hahn and Griffin Dunne) who move to Marfa to study with an enigmatic professor, Dick (Kevin Bacon). As the couple become drawn to Dick, their lives are turned upside down with unintended, but exciting consequences.”
The series is executive produced by Soloway (Transparent), Andrea Sperling (Transparent), Victor Hsu (Transparent), and Gubbins (Ten Aker Wood). I Love Dick premiered at the Sundance Film Festival earlier this year. Soloway described it to Deadline as a “soapy delicious psycho-sexual comedy set in an art town.”
Hahn is known for her work in We’re the Millers and The Secret Life of Walter Mitty. Dunne has been see in Dallas Buyers Club and An American Werewolf in London. Bacon, he of the six degrees, is known for Footloose, Apollo 13 and The Following. I Love Dick was greenlit back in September of 2016 alongside Amazon show Jean-Claude Van Johnson and The Tick.
