OUTLANDER season four could have an enormous twist under lock and key as Jamie Fraser star Sam Heughan has dropped a major bombshell about the STARZ show’s most notorious villain Captain Black Jack Randall.
Viewers last saw Black Jack (played by Tobias Menzies) in season three of Outlander, when the long-anticipated final showdown between the abusive redcoat and everyone’s favourite Scottish Highlander eventually arrived. Shown in season three episode one, the pair’s ultimate fight coincided with the deadly Battle of Culloden, which saw hundreds of people killed in a horrific blood bath.
Entering into what appeared to be an almost tender moment, Jamie proceeded to thrash his opponent desperately, leaving the soldier clinging onto him for support.
The pair crashed into a ditch together and it appeared Black Jack had finally had his last chance to hurt Jamie and Claire.
Yet now The Spy Who Dumped Me star Sam has teased his 1 million Instagram followers with a hint at what’s to come on the hugely-popular time travel series, and it may not be a joke.
Filming a bottle of “Jack Black’s” brewery lager, he wrote a potential spoiler over the top and shared it in an Instagram story. He simply said: “Black Jack’s.. alive?!?!??!!!” The star was likely just sharing an in-joke with his hordes of fans about the return of the series’ most cruel and vulgar villain.
Yet there is another possibility – will Black Jack make a completely unexpected return and cause havoc for his rivals once more?
