Capcom seems to be having a rough time with its console-exclusive PS4/PC release of Street Fighter V. The game has been plagued with cheaters and poor sports who used the lack of a rage quitting penalty to rocket to the top of the charts before Capcom did something about it. Now it’s telling that the game just isn’t doing well in sales, as an analyst has tweeted the information that Pokken Tournament for the Wii U has outsold Street Fighter V at retail.
That’s a significant achievement, as Pokken Tournament is a console exclusive with a much smaller audience. There are about 15+ million Wii U consoles sold in the world, while the PS4 is rumored to have just cracked 40 million and that’s not even counting the PC sales. Regardless, Capcom is pretty mum on how well the game has performed for them.
