Bandai Namco Entertainment have quietly delayed Project X Zone 2, with the Nintendo 3DS exclusive now expected to see a western release in early 2016.
The news was shared at the close of an expansive seven-minute trailer released to coincide with Japan Expo 2015, which details the game’s early narrative, character roster and gameplay mechanics. However, the game had previously been announced for an autumn 2015 release worldwide.
The Bandai Namco, Capcom and SEGA crossover project draws on characters from each respective publisher’s IP, with the trailer showcasing those already announced.
That encompass Darkstalkers, God Eater 2, Space Channel 5, Street Fighter, Streets of Rage, Summon Night 3, Tales of Vesperia, Sakura Wars, Resident Evil: Revelations, Resident Evil 6, Tekken, Virtua Fighter, Yakuza: Dead Souls, Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney, .hack//, .hack//G.U., Mega Man X, Strider, Shinobi, Soul Calibur V, Devil May Cry, and Adventure of Valkyrie.
Project X Zone 2 will release exclusively for Nintendo 3DS in early 2016.
