Razer hinted at some major plans this week with a teaser site . Proclaiming that “PC gaming is not dead,” it promised news on August 26. The company pitched itself as the champion of gaming and noted both the size of the “open system of PC gaming” base and decried the “shoddy console ports” that people believe define PCs today.
What this could be isn’t evident. The graphics used on the site makes us here at ToT think of TRS-80 III. It could be a mystery new controller or other peripheral. Razer might also unveil a production version of the Switchblade handheld gaming PC. That may be called somewhat into question as it’s not strictly a traditional PC and is more a custom-designed handheld that plays Windows games.
Razer is best known for its mice, keyboards, and audio gear. Occasionally, it has branched out into special controllers like the Hydra.
