At Tuesday’s BlackBerry DevCon, RIM gave developers a beta version of PlayBook OS 2.0. MacBerry.de, the German site devoted to BlackBerrys and PlayBooks, has now posted a video and screenshots of the new operating system. RIM has also posted new tools to help developers write or repackage Android apps so that they can now run on Blackberrys using Runtime for Android.
In addition to being able to run Android apps, the beta now offers the ability to customize the home screen. Users can now reorder icons and create custom pages instead of the usual favorites, media, and other RIM-made categories.
