Having worked together three times already on Fruitvale Station, Creed and Black Panther, director Ryan Coogler and actor Michael B. Jordan are looking to do it again for the new feature Wrong Answer which has been set up at New Regency Productions and Plan B.
Author and Pulitzer Prize finalist Ta-Nehisi Coates will write the script for the film which is based on Rachel Aviv’s 2014 New Yorker story of the same name about a 2006 standardized test cheating scandal at Atlanta public schools.
Jordan will portray teacher Damany Lewis, who joined the effort in order to prevent his school from shutting down under provisions of the No Child Left Behind law. Eleven teachers were ultimately indicted on racketeering allegations.
Coogler Pitt, Dede Gardner, Arnon Milchan and Jeremy Kleiner would produce while Aviv and Lewis would consult.
