Samsung has announced that an upcoming speaker dock, the DA-E750, will be available in the UK and Korea starting today. The dock features a wide array of wireless connectivity options, as well as a vacuum tube-based amplifier meant to improve sound quality.
The DA-E750 can connect to Samsung Galaxy devices through AllShare, but it is also compatible with Apple’s AirPlay standard, as well as the more broadly used Bluetooth 3.0. The dock also features an analog composite input, and a USB port to play tracks from a thumb drive. The unit supports MP3, WMA, and WAV file formats.
In terms of output the hardware relies on a 2.1-channel woven glass fiber speaker system, with a built-in 100W subwoofer. Mahogany and piano black colors are available. Samsung has not released specific pricing details, but the company floated an $800 figure when it showed off the dock earlier this year at CES 2012.
