Samsung has brought out its next-generation of DualView cameras in the DV300F.The 16-megapixel camera has a new version of the signature 1.5-inch front display that’s more flush with the body, reducing its effect when left off. Wi-Fi is new to the DualView series and can share photos and videos with Facebook, Flickr, Picasa, and YouTube without either a computer or an Eye-Fi card.

The networking can alternately be used to back up content stored on the camera’s microSD card storage. DLNA media sharing and SkyDrive cloud storage similarly work from the camera.

As a conventional camera, the DV300F carries a 5X, 25-125mm equivalent lens and can record video at up to 720p. Samsung keeps up the tradition of introducing novelty software features, such as a unique Motion Photo feature that can record video of a subject while keeping the background still. Funny Face and Split Shot let photographers tweak the looks of people in a shot or composite three shots together, and an Artistic Brush filter turns a shot into a color or monochrome artist’s sketch.

Americans will have access to the new camera in March, when it will cost $199
