Samsung executive J.K. Shin said the company will launch its first phone based on the Tizen operating system during the third quarter of the year.
Previously, Samsung had only committed to launching such a device “this year.” Samsung recently merged its home-grown Bada operating system with Tizen, which it is developing jointly with Intel.
