While the film’s release is less than five months away, Scarlett Johansson has joined the cast of Spike Jonze’s upcoming Her. Vulture reports that Johansson will replace the previously-attached Samantha Morton as the voice of one of the leading characters, a computer with whom a lonely writer develops a relationship.
Johansson recently starred in last year’s biopic Hitchcock and will soon appear in Joseph Gordon-Levitt’s big screen directorial debut Don Jon. She’s also set to reprise her role as Natasha “Black Widow” Romanoff in both next year’s Captain America: The Winter Soldier and in 2015’s Marvel’s The Avengers 2.
Also set to star Rooney Mara, Amy Adams, Joaquin Phoenix and Olivia Wilde, Her is scheduled for release on November 20, 2013.
