Seiki is bringing a new low-priced 55-inch Ultra HD television to the United States, being sold exclusively through Sears. The television, capable of showing 4K-resolution video, will be sold through the retailer for $1,500, and will be appearing in more than 500 Sears retail stores, just in time for the holiday shopping period.
The television will have a native 3840×2160 resolution, with a 30Hz refresh rate for 4K content and 120Hz for 1080p video, reports Slashgear. Analog and digital tuners, a USB port for viewing photographs on the screen, HDMI 1.4 connectivity, and US-based technical support are also supplied with the television.
Sears will also be stocking the 39-inch 4K television launched in June. Relatively similar to the 55-inch model except in size, the 39-inch version is being sold for $700.
