Australian filmmakers the Spierig brothers’ supernatural thriller Winchester stars Helen Mirren, which we here at TOT think is her first horror film, has its first trailer.
Jason Clarke, Sarah Snook, and Angus Sampson co-star in the story of firearms heiress Sarah Winchester (Mirren) who has become convinced that she’s haunted by the souls of those killed by guns. She decides to build an enormous mansion that’s designed to keep the evil spirits at bay.
When skeptical psychiatrist Eric Price (Clarke) visits the estate to evaluate her state of mind, he soon discovers that her obsession may not be so far-fetched after all.
The film is based on San Jose’s ‘Winchester Mystery House,’ dubbed the most haunted house in the world.
Winchester is targeting a February 2nd release.
