After collaborating on a series of inspirational true story movies in recent years like Lone Survivor, Deepwater Horizon and Patriots Day, filmmaker Peter Berg and actor Mark Wahlberg’s fourth teaming on screen is Mile 22, which sports a much darker tone of a gritty action thriller both were more known for in their separate work.
Wahlberg stars as James Silva, an operative of the CIA’s most highly-prized and least understood unit. Aided by a top-secret tactical command team, Silva must retrieve and transport an asset who holds life-threatening information to Mile 22 for extraction before the enemy closes in.
