The next game in the Shin Megami Tensei series to make it to North America is one that missed its chance before. Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Summoner: Soul Hackers was released on Saturn in Japan in 1997, but was never localized.
But now Atlus is planning to release a localized version of the 3DS remake in North America in the spring of 2013. The first-person RPG combines a futuristic “cyberpunk” setting with the traditional SMT demon battles and negotiations. The 3DS screen adds automapping functions and the ability to change difficulty levels on the fly.
