Skype today announced in a blog post that it will no longer develop updates for its Windows Phone 7 application.
The WP7 app will remain available for download, but Skype does not plan to support it any longer through bug fixes or improvements. Skype says this is a necessary step so that it can better manage its resources.
According to Skype, the vast majority of its mobile app users have already adopted Windows Phone 8.
