Square Enix announced it will launch the open-world action game Sleeping Dogs on August 14 for PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
The game stars police officer Wei Shen as he infiltrates the Hong Kong Triads gang to bring down the criminal empire.
Sleeping Dogs was originally known as True Crime, under the Activision label. After the publisher dropped the game due to quality concerns, Square Enix picked up the rights.
United Front Games is developing the title, with help from Square Enix’s London studio, which also worked on action titles Batman: Arkham Asylum and Just Cause.
