Snapchat updated its mobile app today with a new feature. Users can now video chat with up to 16 of their friends at one time.
A new video camera icon is visible in the Group Chat function. When someone initiates a video chat, others in the group will be asked to join. Invitees can join the video chat, join with only their voice, or send regular text messages that others read during the video chat.
The new feature is rolling out to the Android and iOS mobile apps starting this week.
