Qualcomm and LG announced that the successor to the LG Optimus G will use the Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor. The 800 is the most advanced processor currently available from Qualcomm.
According to Qualcomm, the 800 delivers up to 75% better performance than the S4 processor thanks in part to improved asynchronous multiprocessing, which raises and lowers the performance of each core in response to computing needs.
The 800 can be paired with LTE 4G, and includes the Adreno 330 GPU, which offers twice the graphics performance of the current Adreno chip. The 800 also supports 1080 video capture and playback, Miracast, as well as DTS-HD and Dolby Digital Plus audio.
Neither Qualcomm nor LG said when this new G phone would reach the market
