TVLine is reporting that actor John Barrowman will be returning to the series as Malcolm Merlyn/The Dark Archer in the upcoming second season. There was a lot of ambiguity regarding the character’s fate at the end of the first season – many believe he died and others think he got away. It remains to be seen if the character’s return is in a dream, flashback, hallucination or the real deal, but it is said that Barrowman will appear in at least two episodes in the new season.
