If you wondered what happened to Ethan Zobelle on Sons of Anarchy, wait no longer. He’s coming to Justified.
Well, that’s not exactly true. Actor/Director Adam Arkin will be guest-starring on Justified this season as Theo Tonin. Once again, Arkin is playing a villain. However, instead of leading a crew of white supremacists, he’ll be playing a Detroit mobster.
EW reports that Arkin will guest star in at least two episodes, one of which is the season finale. Theo Tonin will step into Raylan’s (Timothy Olyphant) world as Quarles (Neal McDonough) boss from back home. It is stated that we’ll learn more about Quarles mysterious backstory in episode 310. Then, we’ll see Theo show up in episodes 311 and 313.
Executive Producer Graham Yost states that: “Theo saved his [Quarles] life, but in a weird way.”
Regarding Arkin’s take on a mob boss, Yost added: “I don’t want to give it away. There is a physical tweak that Adam asked for… Adam wanted to be distinctive, so when you see it, it’s like, Oh wow, that’s pretty wild. He’s not dressed as a pirate or anything. But he looks cool.”
Arkin previously directed the “Bainne” episode of Sons of Anarchy and has directed five episodes of Justified this season.
Now only if Kurt Sutter would write an episode of Justified! We can wish!
