Sony UK has introduced a new bookshelf sound system called the CMT-G1BiP. The receiver or main unit is housed in a solid aluminum casing and is flanked by black piano speakers. The speakers get 60W of sustained power and source choices include USB input, FM and AM tuner as well as DAB digital radio.
An optional iPod or iPhone cable lets users play music from these devices as well. A model with Wi-Fi will also be available and will have the ability to connect to Internet radio channels or music stored on a PC. This model can also be controlled from an iPhone or iPod thanks to a free app.
Sony hasn’t revealed prices for the systems yet, nor are ship dates available for the UK or other regions.
