Splatoon had a strong sales push in sales this week which also gave the Wii U console a boost with the new bundle in Japan. Media Create provides an update with additional information.
The above is a look at the Wii U Splatoon Set, which released in Japan on July 7. It includes the Wii U console with Splatoon pre-installed, along with amiibo figures for Callie and Marie.
According to Media Create, the set has sold close to 12,000 units, which boosted Wii U hardware sales by 3.5 times going from 4,444 units to 15,470 in just three days. With no more major updates coming to Splatoon and the game’s final Splatfest taking place next week, we can see this as a last hurrah for the popular Wii U title.
Splatoon is currently available on Wii U.
