Sprint in a policy update late Thursday took to further curbing uses of non-phone data by capping 4G. It now makes no distinction between 3G and 4G and uses the same 3GB, 5GB, and 10GB caps for both. Both technologies share one cap as well as the same overage fees of five cents per megabyte, with no more than 300MB of data before overages outside of Sprint’s own network.
The carrier had already capped phone hotspots to 5GB as of the start of October.
