Sprint will soon introduce new rate plans for 4G tablets, undercutting other carriers on pricing for 4G tablets. The carrier announced today that it will be offering customers up to 20 percent more data than AT&T and Verizon for the same price. Sprint is also going to temporarily waive the activation fee on all 3G and 4G LTE tablets.
Sprint will be offering four monthly plans specifically tailored to 4G LTE tablets. Those plans start at $15 per month for 300MB of data, $35 for 3GB, $50 for 6GB, and $80 for 12GB. The new plans will be available for all Sprint 4G LTE tablets with no contract required.
Sprint will also allow smartphone customers to add a tablet to their account at a discounted rate. Customers doing so will be able to add a tablet for $15 per month for 1GB of data or as little as $10 per month for 100MB of data.
The new plans will also cover the recently-announced iPad mini. The new plans will become available on November 11 of this year.
